ACTORS ON THE COUCH

For many years after graduating with my BFA in Drama, I pursued a professional career as an actor. Like many struggling young artists, I grew deeply frustrated reconciling this pursuit with trying to earn a living. Rejection after rejection - or lack of opportunity to begin with - was very disconcerting and threatened my sense of self. During that time, one of the most helpful investments I made  in myself was seeing a therapist. After all, an actor is her own "instrument" to explore!

I have worked with actors since 2009, helping them gain insight into their instruments, motivations, and relationships to their careers and with others. I have been fortunate to bear witness as some clients have deepened their desires and commitments to pursuit of the craft of performance, and have been just as lucky to see others gracefully walk away from the profession in order to start new lives.

Whatever path you're on, if you’re looking at this website I believe I have a good understanding of how you're feeling, and I think I may be able to help. Call or email if you would like to set up an appointment. I look forward to meeting you!
